Who is the author?

The author is a physician who writes under the pen name Daniel L. Abraham. He has studied biomedical sciences, philosophy, and comparative religion to find out the purpose of life. His pen name was inspired by Prophet Abraham who modeled reason-based faith and the name Daniel which means: God is my judge. The middle initial “L.” stands for liberty and free will. 

What is the Message?

Reason is thinking rationally. Conscience in action is called virtue; moral excellence. The key message of the Quran, scripture of Islam is to reason, reflect on life and exercise faith through the works of virtue. It is a message for all of the humanity to honor their Creator and serve each other. It focuses on the big questions of life: “Who made us? “Why are we here?” and “How should we behave?” 
This book/website is dedicated to the curious minds so that they can understand this message and know basics of Islam. Chapters of the book include Abraham’s faith, people of the Bible, interfaith commandments, human rights, and social justice to identify our shared values and ethics. Such basic knowledge is crucial for mutual understanding and harmonious coexistence. 
Let us unite on common principles and accept our differences. Let us work together for peace and common good and lead a purposeful life. We all pray to our Creator, for guidance, mercy, and blessings.
